okay, i've been back from korea for quite some time now.. but i've just been too busy and lazy to blog! anyway, i shall just talk abt the korea trip and the families we made friends with! hahaha.
on the plane, i spent my supposed sleeping hours watching
you,me and dupree and
step up! which is a nice show.. so when we landed, there was snow everywhere! =D got on the bus to
everland, and it was freezing! but we seemed to be the only family freezing. :l anyhow, didn't spend a long time there before we were off to our hotel at
ocean castle. (btw, the journey's are super long)
the next day, we went for the spa! when we got out of the shower, we ran from the shower to the family spa area cos it was absolutely freezing! imagine, we were only in our swimsuits in a WINTER place. haiys. but it was fun. ahha. after that, we managed to walk around in the outdoor spas to try out diff flavoured spas like mint spa, green tea spa and so on. after changing up, we were on the bus to
yong pyong! the ski resort! but of course we stopped off to rent our ski suits, and blades and some sledges for the night. when we reached yong pyong, there was winter sonata stuff everywhere!! hahaha. cos that's the place where they filmed winter sonata. so anyhow, we spent the night trying to build a snowman, riding the sledges and just taking in the view. we slept on tatami's that night.. which is like the korean way of sleeping! with mats on the floor, and a bean bag for a pillow. haha. it was quite uncomfortable.. cos the mat was so thin, but i guess the magnificent view from our window made up for it. hahaha.
wednesday morning, we all got dressed and hyped up for SKIING! =D hahaha. but first, we took a gondola up to the top.. my gosh, there was one person skiing.. he's totally pro. haha. saw winter sonata stuff again.. and it was freezing up there so i had to cover my whole face with the ski goggles and my scarf! hahaha. after that, we were taught skiing by our tour guide, donna, on the beginner slope. skiing is fun! hahaha. the part where you ski down of course. the part where you walk up the slope is HORRIBLE. after lunch, we finally persuaded daddy to pay 8000 won (kids rate, which is equivalent to abt $14) for each of us to go on the chairlift ONCE to the top of the beginners slope. so ex right. anyway, i came down the slope super fast! i was a bit scared.. so i just concentrated on not banging down anyone. hahaha. bel says it's cos my S weren't S enough. :l
thursday morning, we headed back to seoul. stopped at mount seorak on the way and took some scenic shots. had a snowball fight with the little kids.. haha. seoul was just abt shopping at dongdaemun, and going to all those shops like the korean ginseng shop to get extorted! oh yes, and we went to
lotte world! where they also filmed
full house! hahah. =D so anyway, it was fun in lotte world. just that we queued up for 1 plus hr to go for a ride that lasted less than 2mins. :l
anyhow, the families in the tour were all so nice! haha. except for like two antisocial families that didn't really talk much la.. but they're still nice. there were two cute boys! haha. zach and samuel. when i first talked to zach, it was cos he touched my hair.. and said that he recognises me from
st hilda's primary school. :l HAHAH! and his father, uncle russell said i look like i'm in pri 2! that just made the record! haha. and he is so sensitive, he was so sad cos he saw an ambulance (cos that meant someone was injured) and when we were leaving for singapore. samuel on the other hand is so CHEEKY! hahah. he's only pri 1 next yr, but he wanted to join the older kids for the viking ride.. which went super high! like 75 degrees i think. anyway, before the ride, he said he was gna scream damn loud! then during the ride, he was hiding behind me! he's so adorable! hahaha..ohwells, the families may meet up at auntie donna's house (samuel's mom, not the tour guide eeks) which has a tree house and a flying fox! nice!

night at the museum which was quite a nice show! haha. on sunday, the family had our xmas lunch at hospital with grandma. =D it was fun... cos the atmosphere was really there despite grandma being in hospital. and she was so happy that day.
anyway, my birthday's coming up and i've still got lots to study for biochem and my stupid cario assessment to do. SIGH. =(
